Sinopse:Após desmaiar, a primeira coisa que Jack (Matthew Fox, "Party of Five") sente é dor. Depois, o sol queimando o seu rosto. Uma floresta de bambu. Fumaça. Gritos. Logo ele chega à terrível descoberta de que o avião em que ele estava se partiu no ar e caiu numa ilha do Pacífico. Logo seus instintos de médico lhe dizem que as pessoas estão precisando de ajuda. Perdidos, os 48 sobreviventes tentam pegar o que for possível para a sobrevivência deles entre os destroços do avião. Muito pânico. Muitos guardam suas últimas esperanças enquanto aguardam o resgate. Outros descobrem novas forças que eles nem imaginavam que tinham — como Kate (Evangeline Lilly), que, sem nenhum treinamento médico, logo se vê costurando os ferimentos do médico.
